Archaeology
Archaeology is announced as a fourth secondary profession, unique in that it will allow a brand new customization of existing characters. New Archaeologists will have an option to search through various ruins situated all over the map for the different items of interest, just like Archaeologists in real life.
The research process will include making notes and collecting various artifacts. By using these artifacts, Archaeologists characters will be allowed to undergo further customizations, while handing the artifacts in to a Titan cult, will provide them with awesome rewards, such as new vanity pets, Teleportation, Titles and different items.
An Archaeologist will able to create new discoveries, and depended on the chosen path he will be able to get passive skills and new abilities.
What makes this profession different?
All the professions in WoW are conceited to follow the certain pattern – to be learned, skilled to the appropriate level and then used to produce some final product. Archaeology will be different. You won’t be only able to train it, hit the cap and then stop progressing with it. This profession is designed to be continuous and therefore it could be more progressive and interesting to the players.
Reforging basics
Reforging profession will allow further customization of the characters’ gear. This customization will only affect the gear’s statistics and not the looks. Appearance customization might be something saved for the future.
Reforging, as a skill will be given to Blacksmiths, Engineers, Jewelcrafters, Leatherworkers and Tailors. Wearers of these professions will have an option to take the piece of the gear originating from their native professions and to change one of the stats. For example a Jewelcrafter will be able to take one stat from the ring. After taking out the stat, a player will be able to take those stat points, change it and add it back to the armor as a different stat.
What is so special about this?
Firstly, the stats that you will be able to change are not the ones that some item already has. In example, if you have a pair of gloves with Stamina, Intelect and Spirit, you will be able to add some extra haste rating instead of Stamina.
This adjustment of statistics will not only be possible for the items that you can craft, but for all of them. Another good point is for the players who aren’t skilled in the given professions. They will have an option to demand service from the players who do have Reforging added to their main profession.
Cataclysm expansion will certainly bring a brand new dimension in the World of Warcraft. Confidently remaining on the top position among the all MMORPGs of all time, Wow is a safety bet. There are many mmorpgs out there but still World of Warcraft’s population of players grows more as the days pass. The reason for this is the quality of the game and new amazing new releases.
