Warlock – The Fierce Enemies
Written by admin.
The Warlock class is great to play. This class belongs to the dark side and therefore their spells are based on the shadow magic and fire magic. They possess the powers of ‘the dark’ and therefore they are interested in demonology. With the demonology abilities Warlocks are able to summon a few types of demons which serve them as their pets, like an imp, fel hound, succubus, void walker and infernal. With this ability, Warlocks, similar to hunters, are able to have a pet at their side most of the times.
Having a pet at your side makes the game a lot easier especially because you can usually avoid taking many hits. The Warlock himself casts mostly damaging spells like shadow bolts. Another ability that contributed to the overall popularity of Locks is “fear”, which is can make their opponents run around for a few seconds without the ability to do anything about it. On top of that the Warlock has several “damage over time” spells (DoTs) which deal good amounts of damage over a specific amount of time. Click here to watch the video: WoW Warlock Guide
When he combines his spells and abilities right, a Warlock can become a tuff PvP opponent and one of the highest damage dealers in PvE instances and raids. The basic assignment of a Warlock in PvP is to fear his targets while at the same time he applies dots, while in PvE he is most likely to use his Shadow Bolt.
The Warlock has a large variety of spells and skills. One of the most frequently used skills is to summon a Dark Portal. This portal is used to summon players located anywhere on the map to the location of a Warlock. He will need a hand to summon a player. The Dark Portal can basically be used similar to the meeting stones that can be found in front of instances.
Another helpful ability a Lock has is to place a Soul Stone on a friendly player or himself. A person who has a Soul Stone on him can easily resurrect if he happens to die. This can greatly reduce the corps running time even though it has a cool down of half an hour. Soul Stone will come in handy to any Lock while he is leveling and also it is a “wipe savior” in any raid or dungeon group if placed on a player who can heal or resurrect. A Warlock can also create Health Stones which function as healing potions and are actually more powerful because they restore more hit points. On lower levels, a Lock is able to give these Health Stones separately to other players while on a higher level he can even create a special well – the Soul Well where his whole raid group can obtain a HS just by clicking on it. What is nice about the Health Stones is that they do not share the same cool down as Healing Potions which means that you can use the both of them in a longer fight.
The class of Warlocks is great to level up and play. With their damage dealing abilities, demon pets, fears, DoTs and spells which are helpful to the group, they are surely complex characters to play and tuff enemies to fight against. If you would like your char to be a caster with many different abilities, a Warlock is the right choice for you!
